Couristan design studio is proud to present FUTURETENSE .

Futuretense encapsulates a sense of what will be, what is yet to come, inhabiting life forwards and upwards. In conjunction with the release of Couristan’s new pom box, our designers have developed a collection of patterns that showcase the strengths of designing with tonality, highlighting complex shifts in hues, from dark to light. For inspiration our designers looked to the future, and imagined what patterns might grace our floors decades from now. They looked to open skies, to radiant light and its illuminating properties. Patterns reflect imagery that captures the fleeting and intangible, much as kinetic and expressionist art explore what is elusive to the touch. Motifs delve into expressions of speed and radiance, the movement of light across the galaxies. Refractions extend and retract, approaching in paler tones, shapes riding on the clouds. Designers explored the figures of the firmament, aglow with tones and shifting atmospheres. We designed for a luxury retreat, where patterns evoke futurism and abstraction. Each design lends itself to manipulation for public and private luxury hospitality spaces.
